Omg. This place is absolutely FABULOUS!!! I got here right before they close but I'll definitely be back!! They have a huge selection of clothes furniture jewelry purses everything you can imagine and the prices are totally reasonable! This is definitely my new favorite consignment shop!
This is absolutely the best trift store in my life!! Thus is actually first store where I liked EVERYTHING. They have vintage clothes, branded bags and shoes, jewelry, prom dresses, Victoria Secret silky pajamas and many many many other things. The staff is absolutely amazing and super helpful. I absolutely love clothes part of the store, but when I got to non-clothes part, that was even better. The laces, Iranian table clothe, Indian brass plate, tailor dress form, electro piano, telescope, sewing machine, books... Hold me, cause I love this store, and I will be back many times!
I ❤️ the Charity Guild. I find the resale items to be of high quality, and the prices to be reasonable.
A Treasure Trove of St. John & high end clothing at great prices. Also beautiful housewares, you just never know what you’ll find.
I always enjoy visiting your store. Today, however, I noticed high prices in a variety of items that can be obtained new at those prices or lower. A small box with screws $8.00, for example, and a tool caddy for $76.00.
I just started bringing my items for consignment to the Charity Guild Shop of Houston. The first time I took my items for consignment, the volunteer ladies in the shop did not acknowledge me by saying hello or asking me if I needed help. I was standing in front of the volunteer for ~ 1 minute while she continued to finish the job she was working on (tagging items). She ignored me as if I was not standing in front of her, however, once another consignor arrived with her items to be assisted, another volunteer assisted her first instead of myself. I ignored this incident and continued to wait to be addressed/acknowledged by the staff (volunteers). There were several woman in the consignment drop off and was ignored by all of them, of which , two of the ladies were having personal conversations in the corner of the room.
Today , I also had an appointment for dropping off items for consignment. The same lady who ignored me the first time was working. I asked her if I could use on of the carts to transport my items from my car to the inside of the consignment drop off area. She stated "I will have to unload and carry my items myself, that the carts were not to be used for helping bring items into the shop."
However, on my first visit the volunteer allowed the consignor to use the cart to unload her items. When I questioned the volunteer about this issue, she became very rude and DISMISSIVE to me. I left the donor site with my property and I will never go back. All of the volunteers at this shop are rude, dismissive and selective in who they treat with respect. The differences that I have observed at the shop are blatant, as far as ,how they choose to treat some groups of people versus others. The shamefulness of the situation is that this is a Catholic charity store and this treatment towards consignors does not represent what the "church" should be representing. SHAME ON THEM !!!!!!!!!! BEWARE !!!!!!!!!
Something for everyone! I enjoy walking through the isles trying to find interesting items. Doesn't disappoint!
One of my favorite thrift/charity shops in Houston! I’ve found so many incredible things here, from furniture and home decor to vintage clothing and jewelry. Looking around my home, I see so many items that I’ve collected from the Charity Guild Shop over the years.
Given that the proceeds go toward a good cause and the quality of their wares is excellent, I think their prices are very reasonable. And the prices of each item drops as the week pass, so if you’re patient (and willing to risk it!), you can wait and get a great deal.
